Edna Tal Elhasid is the Head of "SHOHAM":  The Center for integrating technology in Distance Education at the Open University of Israel. She is also a member of Chais Research Center for Integration of Technology in Education at the Open University of Israel.

  • Project Manager of PE'ER - Opening the Treasures of the Mind (which is the OCW project at the Open University of Israel)
  • Initiator of "outstanding on-line instructor competition" at the Open University, judgment committee's chairman Chairperson of the judging committee
  • Initiator and promoter of Wiki project at the Open University

Education

Edna received her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at Haifa University Israel (1986), and a Master's degree in Information and Communication Technologies in Education at Tel Aviv University Israel (2000). Her Thesis (in hebrew) was: "Visible and Invisible Presence in Online Discussion Groups of Academic Courses". The study was conducted under the guidance of Prof' Rafi Nachmias.
