Research Interests
- Use of content analysis to identify how teacher-student interaction patterns change when university lecturers teach their courses in both conventional and distance learning environments.
- Using cross-modal research findings to improve design and evaluation of online courses.
- Design, development and evaluation of open learning resources to support acquisition of high-frequency academic vocabulary in English.
- Design, development and evaluation of CALL internet-based tools to support computer-assisted reading of academic texts in English.
- Cross-modal changes in teacher-student interaction patterns across conventional and distance learning environments.
- Design and evaluation of asynchronous and synchronous courses.
Research Grants
2014 | EU TEMPUS ECOSTAR project, with E. Klein-Wohl. Co-leader of Open University's Work Package in EU-funded TEMPUS ECOSTAR project. ECOSTAR is a consortium of 15 universities and colleges in Israel and the EU. Goal of project is to reform the curriculum of EFL courses in Israeli higher educations by aligning Israeli EFL programs with the EU's CEFR. |
