18 Architectural Choreography Carmit Blumensohn In the exhibition, Generative Crafts, Shirley Wegner and Tal Nisim create a space composed of different types of media. In the body of works presented, they rethink the relationships between inside and outside, the connection between virtual space and physical space, and the tension between traditional art practices and new technologies while using the gallery space and the entire campus complex as raw materials. The two artists maintain an ongoing dialogue with a generative AI-based image creator. At the core of the exhibition lies an exploration of the boundaries of perception and representation of the digital image and the gaps that arise between human knowledge and experience versus artificial ones. The exhibition consists of two parts: on one side of the gallery, 14 large scale photographs are displayed while, on the other, a video is projected. The two parts of the exhibition face each other, creating a dynamic relationship between them. The 14 tall, longitudinal niches between the gallery's columns transform their identity and become light boxes.
