Understanding the Assembly-Design Space

A seamless introduction of new features requires, first of all, understanding the design and philosophy behind existing ones. In this section we lay out the design space and define the fundamental terms. First, we explain the distinction between assembly and design time in the component's lifecycle. Then, we explain the difference between the visuality, visibility and symbolic-representation of a component. Finally, we explain in these terms the behavior of existing visual bean-builder environments.
