E20 nestled between brushstrokes, creating an ensemble of layers of hardness and fragility all at once. Behind all this lies a terrifying thought: how could this possibly have happened? Is this human? Many exhibitions have been displayed, and many installations have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the country, allowing, at least to some extent, the expression of horror and endless anxiety and stress, alongside coping mechanisms to deal with the tragic news that continues to arrive. From all these examples and responses, the central role of art emerges in processing collective trauma, commemorating memory, and calling for protest. In Guernica, Picasso was a pioneer in turning the pain and destruction of an historical event into a visual outcry, and as we have seen, many Israeli artists referred to it as a Tsivi Geva, After the Party, 2024. 178 x 178 cm.
