Orr Karassin, Shula Goulden Figure 1: Odds Ratios of Variables Predicting Satisfaction with Place of Residence – 2014 compared to 2021 Figure 1 demonstrates that environmental variables, especially cleanliness, open spaces, and noise levels, have the strongest impact on residential satisfaction. Their influence appears to be increasing over time. Both in 2014 and 2021, environmental factors exhibit the highest average impact among all categories. Community variables, notably neighborly relations, also show a significant and increasing influence. In contrast, transportation-related variables had more limited and occasionally statistically insignificant effects. The findings suggest a possible long-term shift in public perception regarding the key components of urban quality of life, with growing emphasis on environmental and community aspects.
