The Shental lab is looking for an outstanding postdoctoral researcher for a 3-year bioinformatics project in the field of metagenomics.
The Shental lab focuses on computational research in metagenomics, and provides the computational aspects in two major research projects in Cancer microbiome and in the Dead Sea microbiome-related research.
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in either computational biology or in bioinformatics with an established publication record. Duties will include executing the experimental plans of the projects, contributing to group discussions and article writing.
Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills; be highly independent and extremely motivated and passionate about their research; and have strong documentation, oral and interpersonal skills.
Research will be performed in several locations in Israel - at the Open University campus in Ra'anana, at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot and at the Dead Sea and Arava research Center located in Ein Gedi, Israel.
