Digital Collections and Cultural Heritage - Collaboration with the National Library of Israel

In 2017, Omilab and the National Library of Israel launched a project that seeks to advance the development of  digital research and educational tools using the National Library of Israel’s wealth of digital data and collections, thereby augmenting the collections and increasing their value to the research community, as well as to the general public.

The project has five components:

Each component addresses different types of digital collections, and different computational, informational, or technical challenges. The research outputs of this project will result in generic and open digital research and educational technologies for the benefit of the National Library, the research community and the Open University’s students.
