The OUI's Institute for the Study of Relations between Jews, Christians, and Muslims will hold on 12 June 2025 an international conference commemorating the official declaration of the Catholic church in Vatican II Council. This Declaration on the Relation of the Church with Non-Christian Religions redefined Jewish-Christian relations and condemned antisemitism.
The conference will host panel discussions regarding the historical circumstances of Nostra aetate twenty years after the end of WWII, as well as its current ramifications, which extend far beyond theology.
The Institute for the Study of Relations between Jews, Christians, and Muslims promotes scholarly initiatives focused on dialogue among the monotheistic religions. The Institute's research and outreach activities are dedicated to understanding interfaith relations in cultural, social, economic, and political contexts from antiquity to the present day. Its mission includes hosting seminars and conferences, supporting research groups and outstanding students, and contributing to academic publications on interfaith issues.
